What happens if I don'y pay my ATT bill over time?

Hey, I can't afford to pay my bill anymore so what I'm hoping for is that if I constantly don't pay my bill, ATT will cut my phone line and end my contract. Someone please tell me what is going to happen.

1. AT&T will send your bill to a collection agency. They will hound you with phone calls. It will affect your credit. Best to call them & make payments, but it's your credit...
2. They will disconnect your phone service but then they will also charge you a cancelation fee which depending on how far you are into your contract depends on how much you will have to pay and then they will report you to all the major credit bureau's . It will be really hard to get service with someone else without having to pay a deposit first. It sucks.
