I am from Toronto, Canada and ask will my Telus LG cell phone work in Dominican Republic?

I am taking a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican and like to know if my New LG9600 cell phone will work there?

  1. Probably you can't.You can call the your cell phone service provider to get info or search their website regarding this.

Telus Mobility supports International roaming to the Dominican Republic, luckily for you it is one of the few places in the world to fully support CDMA phone service (Telus currently uses CDMA, but is set to adopt the worldwide GSM standard shortly). You should consider purchasing an International roaming package because you may find the regular roaming rates to be quite prohibitive, especially if you make calls often and/or use the data network. Contact Telus for more info.
  3. It will work but you will pay $3 per minute or $2.25 per minute if you buy the $10 International Roaming add-on. None of the minutes included in your plan are usable.
