I'm getting a new phone(LG Xenon), and I need to know...?
Ok, I'm hopefully getting the LG Xenon soon, I just need to know a few things... 1. We have a $20/month plan with unlimited texting; no data plan. This phone can do GPS, but do I have to have a data plan to be able to activate it? 2. Is this phone good? I've heard it freezes, but cNet gave it a 4 out of 5 stars, and had no problemo with freezing. 3. Is the touchscreen on this thing good for texting? I know it has a physical keyboard, but is the on-screen keyboard good as well? 4. Can I do mobile email without a data plan? 5. Is there anything else I need to know about this phone? Thank you guys so much :)

- I have this phone and I really love it. I've had it for a year and i'm not sick of it yett, :) 1.) You would need a data plan to use GPS. 2.) This phone is awesome. Mine does not freeze at all, but others might. 3.) The touchscreen is awesome, it works great for everything! no freezing for me. 4.) No. You would need a data plan for mobile email, it's the same with any AT&T phone. 5.) Hmm, just know that it's a really good phone for anyone. Easy touch screen and comes in awesome bright colors. (Blue*, red*, and black) Enjoy your phone!! :)
- 1. You have to have a special GPS plan thats a separate fee from the normal data plan. 2. I had my phone a few months before I lost it(boohoo) and I was in love with it. All my friends liked it too and the ones who had Verizon were like darn I want it and some of the ones who have AT&T got it too. I liked mine so much that I'm buying another one without the two year contract since the phone I've been using since July broke. Oh, and it didn't freeze once on me and I used it a lot and dropped it. 3. The keyboard was ok, it's like texting on a flip phone because it doesn't have an on screen qwerty keyboard. I much preferred the physical one. 4. Nope, but that goes for every phone unless you get one with wifi. 5. One thing that did really bug me was it could only hold 150 text messages at time, and if you use the conversation view(Shows both yours and your friend's texts in a way that convenient if you want to reread it) it counts the ones you send and receive. Also it has hardly any memory by itself so I recommend you get a memory card.
