I have a verizon wireless phone, and i was wondering how do i switch phones?

I have a verizon wireless phone, and i was wondering how do i switch phones since i bought a verizon wirless phone off ebay called the blacberry storm, and i just wanted to know how to go about activating it without changing my number or my plan since i am on a family plan.? can any one help?

1. You have to wait until your 2-year agreement is up, then call the store.
2. Look you can go to verizon.com and logg in and online you can change phones with out changing numbers thats how i do it all the time. Or just go to a retail store and tell them. I prefer the online is faster and better. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT 2 YEARS
3. or in stead of waiting 2 years you can bring in both phones and tell them to move your number to your new phone...
4. you can goto a verizon store or call in and do a ESN change. they will transfer your number to the new phone. They MIGHT make a change to your plan as all smart phones require a data plan
5. Dial *228 (option 3) from the new one, power the old one off first. Its an automated activation. However, it may connect you to verizon anyway since the Storm requires you have a 30/mo unlimited data package. All BlackBerrys do. And no, there is no getting around that. It wont affect the family plan or your contract, as the first guy suggested.
