Why does my cell phone (venus) keep freezing up when I text?

when i Text I can only type one word other wise my phone freezes up. it is an LG Venus. .... why does this happen

1. Venus is a crappy phone. Had it before, It would literally flip the screen image upside down before. Call Verizon, complain about issues with your phone, (make sure you sell the fact the Venus is a buggy phone.) They'll give you another one that will eventually break. I'd recommend just getting another phone.
