Can I Put a Prepaid Att Sim Card In Any Att Phone?

Okay i just bought a Att prepaid sim card and got the unlimited talk and text plan i am using my brothers neon phone but HATE it and the keyboard.Reason i did this is cause i thought i could put a prepaid sim card in any att phone but when i tried to put it in my brothers Xenon all it said was initializing sim card.So am i screwed outta my 60 bucks or is it just that phone???

1. Its probably just that phone. A prepaid att sim card is no different than any other card. the card just lets att know which user you are so they can properly bill you. if you have a prepaid then att can keep track of how many minutes you use vs. how much you paid.
2. as long as you have the sim card, you can use any at&t phone with it.
