i am selling my blackjack cell phone. is it safe to delete everything and then sell it? do i need to notify.

i am selling my cell. i am with att. do i need to notify them to take the cell off my account or something'? i will go in and delete all of my numbers and textss. i just dont want the person i am selling my phone to to just pop in their sim and my phone still be active on my account.

1. No not at all. Once you delete everything and take out your sim. Just restart it and your good. It will be like new. Most phones have the master reset in the settings. When you do that, it completely deletes anything you did to and and restores it back to factory. It doesnt hurt the phone one bit.
