ATT Samsung Impression help?

i just saw a commercial that if you buy an att samsung phone you get one free. what is the catch? my mom is going to activate an account and get a samsung phone, the impression i think. so does that mean if she buys the impression with a 2yr activation does that mean she just gets another free phone or does she have to pay for the second one then they send her a mail in rebate?

The catch is the person getting the free phone must either: 1) Be eligible for an upgrade with AT&T or 2) Sign a 2 year contract I recently bought the Impression and gave the free one to my girlfriend, we both were eligible for an upgrade. I paid $199.00+tax up front and I'll get two $50.00 mail in rebates, one for each phone. I must say it's a great deal they have going. Hope this helps you in the decision process, best of luck.
3. You pay the promotional price for the first phone ($199 right now) and $50 for the second. Then you send in for two $50 mail-in rebates. Just be aware that you do have to pay the $50 up front for the second phone. Out of pocket - 1st phone - $249.99 2nd phone - $50.00 ------------------------ $299.99
