When I get a new SIM card, does the old SIM card automatically useless?
This is probably a dumb question but I'm not tech savvy. I lost my ATT phone so I suspended the service. Then I bought a new SIM card to put in my new Go Phone and it works. But I didn't like Go Phone and returned it, and now I'm waiting for a new Go Phone in the mail. I still have my new SIM card, and according on my account, my phone is now activated. I try to suspend it, but the website won't let me. Does this mean my old, lost phone can be used by whoever found it? Or does having a new SIM card automatically makes the old SIM card useless, forever..? Thanks.

- if the number is the same then yeh i think that it wouldnt work but if the number was different and you just get a new on eht eold one should still be useable good luck finding your answer from helena
- Your old one will be useless don't worry
- When using the same mobile number, the replacement of the SIM in the biller renders the old SIM useless, except for maybe contact information, if you had it stored there. For ATT, at the least, only one SIM is allowed per telephone number at once; if you're concerned, you can call in and verify which SIM number (the long one starting with 8901410 on the face of it) they have recorded, and if it doesn't match, they can either activate the SIM you have in hand, or remove funds from the account temporarily to prevent usage.
