How to unlock - jailbreak a verizon lg env2 cell phone?

My verizon lg env2 cell phone won't unlock. Does anyone know how to unlock it? I was also told unlock is also called jailbreak. Thanks

1. You can't it's a CDMA phone...
2. It can be done. You need to not bother researching it, since if your asking then your not sure about the procedure and may potentially fry your phone. The other answer is correct in refering to that it is CDMA only, however Cricket, can support CDMA. Therefore, you can unlock Cricket and Verizon for use with either (not at the same time) and so on. Your best bet is to find someone that does unlocking service, because the procedures are considered 'easy' only for those who are trying to sell you a package to learn how to do it. I reprogram LG's alot, but even I don't bother getting the USB cables, the codes and the software to unlock them. Some places only charge 20 bucks or higher. Good luck. Though I dont know why, on another note, the Env2 is notorious for being a piece of crap, breaking down and freezing up. So, with that said if it screws up on another network you cannot go get any tech support, or get it replaced. Your up the creek. Consider an alternative phone.
3. First of all jailbreaking is only done on the iPhone (it refers to hacking the phone to allow it to run apps Apple didn't intend), and it's not the same as unlocking. Unlocking a phone means you bypass the carrier "lock" and allow it to work on another network. This can't be done on CDMA phones like your enV, it can only be done on GSM phones that use a SIM card. As for jailbreaking, like I said that's only for the iPhone. The closest thing for your phone is to hack it, however it's much more complicated. Let me put it this way - if you have to ask how to do it you probably don't want to try it. Plus there is little benefit to hacking the enV since it's not a smartphone and thus doesn't have the power to run apps like the iPhone.
