Wireless router problems?
This is going to take a bit of explaining. I get internet through my cell phone (verizon) via usb. The internet is listed as a dial-up account on network connection. I share the connection with my lan port (I play xbox live this way), and plug it into the internet port on my wireless belkin g router. The router is not connecting to the internet, I find this odd because my xbox connects to the internet just fine this way. By sharing the connection with the lan port i'm basically sending internet out of my ethernet port rather than internet coming in. Is there a certain setting I need to turn on or set, would a static ip work, can anybody help me with my situation? I want to use the wifi on my ipod is the reason for asking. My AIM is Cheez6008 if anybody can help me out.

- if you have vista all you need is internet for few minuts to update the proble but if u have xp call the company they will walk you step by step
- reset the router and select the gamma ray default on the G network default option select xbox get a life deselect
- Get rid of that wet dream idea and get internet in your home period!
- I have pretty much the same thing ... but I went with a Sprint cell phone (via USB) ... I went w/ Sprint because they have an unlimited data plan (after I switched from Verizon, they told me that they too have an unlimited plan ... groan) ... see www.timgatton.blogspot.com to see my config - home network from Sept 8th. My config uses an X31 thinkpad as my ISP and I share the internet via my LAN connection. Anyway, my guess is that your LAN cable is plugged into the LAN side of the router ... you need to connect to the WAN side or the WiFi portion cannot see the internet.
