how to put music on an LG env2 (verizon wireless) phone?

I ordered an LG env2 from verizon wireless. Its an mp3 but im not sure how to put music on it. I have a mac and it has many complications to put songs on it. I bought a card reader. The guy on the line said it was very effective. I feel pretty dumb.lol but was that good? I also have a memory card for the phone? how will it work or what?

1. buy a micro sd card, which usually comes with a sd card adapter. If your mac does not have an sd card reader built in, buy another card reader that has the usb plug in the end. Transfer your music by click-and-drag into the folder that says "my music." Then plug the micro sd into the env2 micro sd slot on the right side of the phone.
