Is it free to text to another verizon wireless phone carrier?

If I have a verizon phone and I text to another verizon user, are the text messages free?

3. Only if you have a unlimited texting plan. If not it is 10 cents (I believe) per text, incoming and outgoing. Unfortunately, texting is not the same as calling with verizon. Calling is free from verizon to verizon, texting is not, unless you have unlimited texting like I said.

6. Should be, if you have a texting plan already. I think Verizon offers free in-network texting. But you can dial 611 from your cell to verify that.
