LG Wireless Phone

PLZ help! COULD be in trouble! Cell phone internet usage.....?

Ok so I have to cell phone questions. (1) I got on Wifi with my LG Incite at my friends house. We got on internet and everything but we are on wifi. Will the time we were on with wifi cost money or show up on my phone bill? and (2) my phone has a media net setting and I got on one morning and forgot to get off. I realized about 16 hours later i was still on my Media net, but i wasn't on the internet. Will i get charged for that time even though i really wasn't viewing the internet? Sorry if this is confusing. if it is, tell me and i'll clarify for you! I just REALLY REALLY need help b/c i could be grounded if i don't find out!! THANx!!
