debating between phones LG Chocolate and Motorola Droid?

I am debating between a LG Chocolate 3 or the new Motorola Droid. I need a phone with good battery strength, Reception, Text and Dial easiness, good camera, and durable enough to put in my jacket pocket when snowboarding. your opinions are greatly appreciated. would the Droid's touch screen scratch up easily?

1. The Motorola Droid is the Best Phone next to the iPhone. Now the Chocolate has some reception problems from what I have heard. So I would go with the Droid. BUT the Touch Screen in a Jacket for snow boarding I recommend you get a hard case and put it inside. If not go with a Workforce phone. Neither of the 2 you mention will withstand much impact without a case anyways. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me. Good Luck. EDIT: Well the screen would scratch easily without a screen protector but the bigger problem would be the slider for the keyboard. It might snap off if you were to fall on it. But any screen can Scratch just be sure to get a screen protector and don't take any phone out if your over the snow if you drop it you can get water damage and then its hard to fix it without having to purchase a new phone. Have fun.
2. I would think there would not be much debate here, people are comparing the Motorola DROID to the iPhone in ways. That's obviously high praise. Reception - Not sure Text and Dial easiness - comes with a virtual and a slide out real keyboard Camera - comes with a 5MP camera, although some are saying its not as good as it should be.
