LG Wireless Phone

Can I connect my wifi unlocked phone to the wireless internet at my house?

Ok, so I have an unlocked Blackberry Bold with wifi enabled, but I've never used that feature because I didn't want an extra charge added to my account. I have wireless internet at my house in order to connect to my laptop, but can I connect my Blackberry to the internet at my house free of charge (is that considered wifi)?

  1. As long as you know the passcode to your home wifi network, you should be able to connect to it and there should be no charge.
  2. using wi-fi will not get you extra charges on your bill; you're connecting through a network you own rather than a network that your carrier owns. you just need the password if there's one on your wi-fi network. with a bold you might even be able to download an app that lets you call over wi-fi -- a great way to save money while you're home. calling over a 3g or EDGE connection would sound awful, but over wi-fi should be fine. tech support won't help you with that but you should be able to find other options online, along with support for whatever application you choose.
  3. Of course, the wireless network signal with the mobile search, according to prompt access to home wireless network. You can use wireless Internet access. No additional cost, which is free of charge.
