How to get wifi without a data plan with T-Mobile?
I want to get a new phone with internet and I don't want to pay for the data plan. I know that a lot of the blackberry phones have wifi but I'm confused about the rules. I do have unlimited texts on the plan already if that helps. If anyone could explain what phones can have wifi without a data plan or recommend a phone I would appreciate it and I'll give you the points for best answer if that's what you want.

- If you have individual line unl txt, that is a "data feature" not the family unl msg. The other thing is that if you get an ebay phone or cl phone, you yet again don't need the data ftr. A third option is to upgrade to the phone that you want, deal with the data plan until you get your rebate, and then buy a renew, runs $60 and you can drop data ftr, think of it as a buy out, your rebate runs 50 to 100 so at most you are out 10 bucks
- Actually, whether or not the phone does WIFI has nothing to do with what features you pay for with your plan. WIFI is either a function of the phone or not, kind of like whether or not it has a camera. I personally have a Blackberry 8900, all you have to do is turn WIFI on and find your WIFI network(if you have one at home or if you are in a Panera Bread or something) and it will connect so you can surf the web. T-mobile has a lot of phones that do WIFI, but I would recommend the Blackberry 8220 or the Blackberry 8120 or the T-mobile Shadow because they are the only phones with "real" internet browsing that T-mobile will not require you to purchase a monthly data plan for.
