why wont my iphone connect to my home wifi?

hey....im wondering why my iphone 1st gen wont connect to my home wifi.....its a belkin and it has no password......the wifi router says that the wireless is on but with the wired computers, it has one in a yellow light...it usually is a green one...ive tried turning off the phone....switching it to airplane.....then turning it off then on and goin back but it wont turn on....ive tried typing in what wifi it is but it says it cant connect.....i dont wanna have to restore or add a program or update or anything......please help.....thanks Me!

1. You can try rebooting your router, Un-plug it and let it sit off for a few minutes and plug it back in. Try to connect. If this docent work contact belkin because it may not be compatible with the ipod/iphone
