  1. Yes and no. Both use GSM technology, so if you can get an unlocked sidekick, you should be able to use it for phone calls. Text messaging, internet, email, etc. You will encounter all kinds of problems, as the sidekick is preloaded with T-Mobile parameters and settings for the T-Mobile network. Many phones are now coming with these settings locked into the phones, and not accessible to change them to a different provider. So under the right circumstances, yes you could. I would not recommend it however, as you will encounter more problems than you want to deal with...
  2. The T-Mobile phone would have to be unlocked.
  3. This is an easy as the last comment is correct. As a AT&T customer you can use you SIM in any "UN-locked" cell phone. So if you are going to buy a sidekick make sure it is unlocked. Also another trick if you have a AT&T phone and want it unlocked just call customer service and mention that you will be traveling internationally and want your phone unlocked so that you can use local sim cards in another country. Takes them about a week or two, but this way it's free.
