I have a Yahoo/ATT account . I stopped my phone service with ATT. What do I need to do to keep yahoo?

Hi Yahoo: I have a Yahoo/ATT account. At one time it was myname@sbcglobal.net but then SBC merged with AT&T. I recently closed the account with AT&T as I no longer needed the phone service. Will my Yahoo account remain? Do I need to do anything? I love the Yahoo mail and service.

Your Yahoo account is separate from your SBC/ATT account if your email is yourname@yahoo.com it's yahoo and you're fine because it's a freemail account- otherwise it's AT& T not Yahoo and is most likely cancelled. Did you cancel the phone and keep the internet service (AT & T no longer requires home phone service for internet) or cancel it all? If you kept internet you should be okay. Whoever you get internet service through, you can have yahoo as your default search engine or simply go to yahoo- and when you sign in you get your email. For example I sign in to yahoo mail at my school all the time since my school email is forwarded to my yahoo account.
