Why would a verizon wireless number pick up after one ring & just say The wireless customer is not available?
Then it says please try your call again later. It's not voicemail & the phone isn't off b/c it still responds to text messages. Any ideas?

- They're call forwarding may be messed up internally, like within Verizon's settings, or they may need to actually shut the phone off for a couple of minutes. Have them call Verizon for a little support with the issue.
