When will Verizon phone get cut off after not paying bill?

Okay i have my grandfathers phone is with verizon wireless and he passed away and the bill was due August 23rd and we dont plan on paying the bill we sent them the death certificate.. we dont have the money the bill is extremely high it over 400 dollars because they keep adding late fees the phone is still on anyon know when it will get cut off i dont want a guess i need a real anwser please!

1. Call them up. I had a problem where they ripped me off on my last bill. I paid two months in advance for a small bill. I was going on vacation. And the idiots cashed the full amount of my check, but only gave me a credit for the one bill. They messed up my whole balance. Don't pay the old bill. I have taken business law classes, you don't need to or owe them for someone who passes away. You are fine. let those pigs add up the charges.
