Is it possible to use an Alltel phone on the Sprint or Verizon Wireless network?
I really like the LG Glimmer from Alltel, but they don't have any service were I live. Would it be possible to use the phone on Sprint or Verizon Wireless' networks? All 3 use the same type of network (CDMA), so isn't possible to use an Alltel phone on Sprint or Verizon Wireless?

- It might be Very possible to take it to Verizon Wireless because of their "we share the love" policy. This policy, enacted in 2005 for Verizon Wireless, states that you can bring any E911 capable CDMA phone to their network and use it. Sprint does not have a policy like this...so probably NO for them. Remember, if you choose to take a different carriers phone to Verizon Wireless, in may interfere with you being able to get an upgrade credit and customer service will have trouble knowing how to troubleshoot your phone.
- the technology works... you should be able to, but all functions of the phone may not translate.. but you should be able to activate it. as long as you have them check the esn in the data base you should be able to activate it.
