Can I use a "Go Phone," as a replacement for my ATT phone?

My ATT Samsung phone went thru the washing machine, and now will not work. Can I go in Walmart, just buy a ATT "Go-Phone," put in my own SIM card from old phone, and the Go-Phone will work? Anyone know answer to this????????

1. bill ... head out to the store and you can purchase a go phone. Your sim card unless it went through the dryer will still be working. All you need to do is to pop your old sim into the gophone and all will be well! If you need to activate the sim card it will require a call to customer care to get it activated and thats no problem at all.
