  3. Very good question. I am all to familiar with this since I recently had an unpleasant experience with my wireless carrier. No fee should be charged at the time your contract expires, but there is definitely a fee if you choose to cancel prior to that time. To name a few: ATT: $175/phone line Nextel: $200/phone line Sprint (thought Nextel took over): $200/phone line But there are ways of getting out due to changes in your contract. Almost any new fee or new charge is your opportunity to break the contract. Why? Because they can't change any part of the contract without your permission. For example: -(My favorite) call customer service with ATT constantly because eventually they'll get tired of hearing from you and grant your request just to be rid of you -Text messaging changes -Looking into an unpublished number for avoiding solicitation calls -Setting your phone to "roam only" is said to costs your carrier a certain fee for borrowing other carriers' towers for the roaming which can lead to a contract cancellation because it's more than the customer is actually worth. -Switching services and port your number is supposed to cancel the contract Oh, and if your service isn't as good as what was promised, it is unwise to use this as a reason because wireless companies claim no fault since they do not guarantee availability of service. ATT states this in their contract. Best of luck to you friend.
  4. After ur 2 yr contract is up, there is no cancellation fee.
