how can i get out of paying a phone bill?

im deployed over seas and i was using an app on my phone (skype and truphone) to make long distance calls and all in one day my bill came up to 1040.00 because i was apparently using the carrier here in baharain and they were a little late reporting my fees to att. please help.

1. You don't! So you didn't think that the local Service provider was going to charge you for the data bandwidth you were using?
2. personally this is wrong but if you want to get out of it Ring ur provider up and advised them that u before u went on holdiay you rang up queirying the charges that it would be and thay advised that it would be really cheap and would never come to the cost that its curently at.ask to speak to the manager for being mis advised and they will proberbly do a recalculation on ur invoice thts the only way
3. It is not wrong you are deployed in the war and the adverse ISP has ripped you off. 110% chance you were not advised of usage charges. Being military if you don't pay they will report you. Try to reason with them if you find an English speaking manager in the company. Good LUCK! And THANK YOU!
