Opinions about the new iPhone?

Pros and cons of the new iphone? I'm thinking about getting it, i didnt have the old one but it looks like a really good phone. right now i have verizon so i was going to get the LG Dare, but the iPhone looks better. Thoughts, ideas, comments on the new iphone would be appreciated. Do you own one and if so, are you impressed/happy with it? Thanks so much!

1. I don't have one, but I've worked on a lot of them for T-Mobile, getting them set up on our network. There's no way I'd pay that kind of money for an iPhone. It's all flash and dazzle, and nothing particularly interesting; an awful lot of people have been sold on the media hype - which is what they're counting on. If all you want to do is impress people who are impressionable, then I guess it's a good phone. For me - I'd take a workhorse like a BlackBerry over an iPhone any day!

Same here..also confuse which is to get..but here's what I can say if you want to look cool and impress people - iphone if you want to have a like iphone but can't afford it - instinct if you want better performance - LG dare but if you want all the above..then, i don't really know what to say.. how i wish Apple made the iphone 3G a phone that really has everything in it..rumors say that they'll be releasing another new iphone maybe next year..one that has video recording and a higher pixel camera.. tsk tsk..so we might as well consider if it's worth the money
3. Ignore that guys answer. I have an iPhone, not the new one. And I love it. ZThe great thing about Apple is that they always release new updates, so its like getting a new phone every 4-5 months. It also has an iPod so its a 2 in 1. big big BIG con: It can't record video for some dumb reason
4. I have the new iPhone and I enjoy it. I'm not going to lie though I was so worked up about it and when I finally got it, it wasn't the reaction that I thought I would get. Don't get me wrong though, I do love it, and its the best phone I've ever had, but I was expecting to be more excited about it. The only thing I don't like about it is the new material, I know its for better service and such but it attracts a lot of finger prints and gets slippery after a while. So a case would be good. But I am definitely happy with my iPhone :)

Its call quality is improved and it continues to deliver an excellent music and video experience. Cons ~ The iPhone 3G continues to lack some basic features that are available on even the simplest cell phone. Also, we prefer the original iPhone's design. Have several glitches. Bottomline ~ The iPhone 3G delivers on its promises by adding critical features and sharper performance. The iTunes App Store is pretty amazing, and the 3G support is more than welcome. We still have a few gripes, but the iPhone 3G is a big improvement over the original model.
