connect samsung jet to netgear wifi?

I have recently bought the Samsung Jet, which has a wifi option, I want to connect this to my home wireless internet. I've found that Netgear security is so tight that I can't find out how to do this, I've finally managed to work out how to connect laptops to it but I can't do it with my phone. My phone is asking for a 10 character password but I have a "26 digit Alpha-numeric WEP key" Any help pleeease?

1. Confgure your router to WPA that uses a password to generate the long key. Then you only need to enter the short password on your devices.
