How is the Sprint Blackberry Curve? I am thinkng about switching from the LG dare from Verizon to SprintsCurve?

Thinking about switching from verizon and my LG dare to sprint and the blackberry curve. Now i know that sprints service does not compare to verizons but my friend has a program since he works for sprint that will get me unlimited everything and 500 mins for just 45 dollars a month. So is it worth it?
