How can I put pictures from my LG DARE (Verizon) onto the computer?

I have an LG DARE phone for Verizon, I took a lot of pictures with the camera, and I want to upload them onto my PC. The charger is also a USB cable, so I attach one end to the computer, the other end to my phone, and the phone charges, but does not detect the pictures, how can I get to my pictures? Thanks
