Can you use a verizon wireless insurance replacement phone for a different phone number?

I have verizon wireless phone insurance (asurioun) and I filed a claim. Can I use this phone under a different number then the number i filed the claim under?

1. Depends on what you filed the claim for. If it was for something like a stolen phone, then the old phone has been flagged as stolen and you will have some difficulty getting it activated since the old phone won't work anymore. The new one will have your old number and it will be the active one. If you filed it as lost and then found, then they might let you do it.
2. Sometimes there are obvious answers to queries like this nevertheless maybe not this time.
3. You can always replace your phone then change your number.
