How much would it cost to cancel my service through verizon wireless?

My contract is one year in and I have one more to go. I want to switch to AT&T but I don't know what it would cost me to break the contract with verizon wireless. Also I want to keep my number

1. It is a 200 dollar early cancelation fee.
2. I believe it's $175 not sure if you break your contract if your number is eligible for transfer. You would need to contact customer service to find out if it's eligible.
3. It's either $175 or $200 less $5 for each completed month of your contract. To keep your number, start the AT&T service before you cancel Verizon.
4. i agree with the poster that switched from verizon to at&t, the amount is correct, just wanted to add that if you want to keep your number make sure you PORT OUT to AT&T, and this has to be done before you cancel your verizon service.
