Would buying a blackberry pearl to use as a regular phone be a good idea?
I want a blackberry pearl but I don't want a data plan , because I don't need all the gps systems and internet and stuff. Would buying it to use as a regular phone be a good idea? Also is the blackberry pearl a good phone? pros and cons please also is the lg rumor a better phone? if so, in which ways?? thanks!! : )

- Overall it is a good phone. But really the pearl is a much more powerful phone with a data plan. I didn't know until I added it to use it for maps. As a standard phone I used it for a long time and it worked great. It has a bunch of security features, which is why I like with the blackberry, but most of it is useless if you are not in the business or similar field. Works great for CIA people too :P I definitely like the advanced calling features, like conference calls and the ability to transfer call like in the office phones. You can also text and view messages and contacts while calling pretty easily. Some cons would be: Texting. It's kind of an issue with 2 letters per key, but you get used to it after a while. Crashes. Happens a lot, expecially with media. A simple soft reset will do it. I think that's all that bugged me. Not sure how the rumor is but it's a pretty nice phone. I will say that I don't like LG's software, nor Samsungs. That's another story though. Good luck!
