SBC ATT really bad repair service? Do you think that they don`t care as they have monopoly over the market?

Waited 2 weeks for them to install the phone. Then wanted me to wait a week to repair my phone as there was no dial tone. I am moving to VOIP.

Think thats bad? I have some friends who are forced to use their local phone company - $26.00/month + tax for the basic phone line. Dialup internet = $20.00. DSL = $80.00/mo (only 756k/756k speed) Phone companies love raping people.
Good 4 U U are making a wise choice! I am guessing Vonage for 24.95/mo right?? Either way VOIP is the way to save big Buck$$ Yes they are horrible they think just because they are big that they can get away with anything. Well they arent going to get me as a customer I like Verizon Hope this helps
