  1. I wouldnt recommend a LG Dare, as it has a Pressure sensitive screen, with slow response, every program has a bit of a lag, as oppose to the iPhone which has a heat sensitive screen, so it uses your finger to push it or whatever you use, aslong as it gives off heat, and it is also a scratch resistent screen, which the LG dare is not,
  2. The Dare isn't really a competitor for the iPhone. It is smaller, and the touch screen isn't as responsive. But If you do want to compare them, the Dare has a touch screen, it is very interactive and customizable, and it has many applications that can be added for the users pleasure. It is syncronizable, just as many other Verizon phones, which I find really nice/ useful. Hope this helps!
  3. I have the Dare and love it. The touch screen is great! I also have my own music on it and it plays great! When my computer at work was acting up I just used my phone and played the music that I had on it, several customers came in and didn't realize that it was the phone that was playing it. In fact my friend said it sounded better than the system that was in her Toyota Rav4! There are applications you can download, but it doesn't have the tons of apps that the iPhone has, which I have to admit is cool but as the sales person at Verizon told me if you only want it for the apps then get the iTouch. The Dare is smaller than the iPhone but a tad bit thicker. I like the smaller phone as I'm use to small phones, my last phone was a Motorola Razr V3m. Compact always works better for me. Because this phone is a tad bit thicker it seems a little more sturdier to me but that's just my opinion. The screen has never been scratched. I kept the factory film on it until my screen protectors from Verizon came in (they were out of stock & shipped to my home for free). Once the factory film started peeling then I put the screen protector on and have not had any problems. Still on my first one and I've had the phone since July 2008 and I believe I put this screenprotector on about a month later, maybe a month and a half. I recently purchased one of those rubber protectors to go around the whole phone. It's black with a Fleur de Lis design in white on the back side. I go on the internet all the time via V-Cast with no problems, and like I said I use the music player and play my own music and it sounds great. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me via the email link under my profile.
  4. kinda but there is a couple differances, first of all there is no itunes on the dare there is just vcast, which is very expensive. and i could be wrong but im not quite sure that the internet is free. and the touch screen sucks. i do not recomend any of the touch screen phones from verizonwireless.
