How could Michael Beasley afford an iPhone, a Sidekick, a LG phone and a BlackBerry as a college student?
http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/blog/ncaab_experts/post/Michael-Beasley-is-so-good-he-needs-four-phones?urn=ncaab,71195 "All that success comes with its perks, chief among them a lock on No. 1 overall draft status, not to mention the need for four cell phones. Yes -- four cell phones. Nice ones, too: As technicians work to fix the audio, the familiar cell phone buzz emanates from the right pocket of Beasley's black Adidas pants. "All cell phones off please," the camerawoman says. Out of Beasley's pockets come four devices: an iPhone, a T-Mobile Sidekick, a Verizon LG phone and a Sprint BlackBerry. The static disappears, and he conducts the interview. One cell phone, OK. A phone and one Blackberry, maybe. An iPhone and a Blackberry, you're deliberately showing off. An iPhone, plus a phone, plus a Sidekick, PLUS a Blackberry? That's practically asking for a brain tumor, not to mention a byzantine series of phone bills each month."

- Because he knows he'll be making millions in the NBA and he may have had some help like a different O.J. from USC.
- I see kids and young adults all the time walking around with very nice phones. It's just the times these days... its what kids want, parents get it for them.
- I'm a college student and I too could have all four phones and pay all four plans (near broke, but it's possible)... But why the deuce do you need FOUR??? I can understand two at the most (personal and work).
- Same way O.J. Mayo was recieving cash and "gifts" from professional basketball agents, while still in college.
