Does the netgear skype wifi phone have the same area coverage as the traditional cellphone carriers?

1. Uh, no. The Wi-fi phone only will work near wireless computer networks that you have access to. So, basically, if you have wireless internet you can use the wi-fi skype phone at home. Step outside and the phone won't work. Drive around and the phone won't work.
