LG Wireless Phone

What is my solution to my Port Forwarding Problem?

Hi, i just switched to Qwest Internet and Phone because of MediaCom's Over priced services... So, i try to make my WebcamXP Program to work with this new service. Since i had to restart my router, and rearrange its IP Stuff... i needed to set this port forwarding agian. Which i have done thousands of times before. but! Qwest Also Requires me to use this Modem to get my internet. This Modem seems to have portforwarding too! but it calls for Local IP's, and i am using my router. (by the way, i have it set up Qwest Modem (M1000) --> TRENDnet (TEW-432BRP) --> Computer.) Now, is there a way i can still port forward my program and still have my Wireless modem in use? or is that a different story?

  1. First you would need to figure out what the IP Address of your TrendNet is, and what the ip address of your computer is. Since you need to have the ports forwarded to your computer at all times, you should probably statically set your computers IP Address so you don't have to keep changing the TrendNet settings. Then, forward the ports you need on your Quest Modem, to your TrendNet's IP. Then in the TrendNet, forward them to your computers IP.
