How do I know which Internet will work for me?

I live in the middle of nowhere and am currently looking at buying a laptop. How do I know which internet to get?!?! Also, there are no internet providers in the town closest to me, other then qwest, and they will not service wireless out where I live. Do I need to go through a cell phone company? and how does that work?

1. Yes, you would have to go through a mobile phone company. It's usually better if you went with the mobile provider you currently have. How it works is that they'll send you a wireless card so you can stick it on the side of your laptop. That'll receive wireless signals if that area has coverage, just like a phone. It'll cost a bit more than DSL/Cable, but that may be your last resort. Cost runs about $50+, you should check to see if they have any promotions.
