My LG cell phone rings through the earpiece, and not the speaker?

This is a strange issue. It is a VX6100 Rather than ringing loudly thru the speaker designed for the ringer and speaker-phone, it rings through the tiny speaker in the earpiece. Anyone have this issue and how was it resolved?

1. Every LG phone I have had has rang through the earpiece. The other speaker is just for the speakerphone. Don't really know why.
2. well not rly wut Michael somethin said up there cause my LG chocolate 2 and old LG phone both are both speaker phones and plays through the speaker. maybe put ur speaker on
