how can i delete texts messages from my LG Rumor cell phone ?

I have a LG Rumor cell phone i have deleted texts from my phone. The kind that i dont want my girl to see. She says she can still get those deleted texts and i still deny it. but for some reason she can still quote the texts that ive sent word for word. How can i get those texts erased so that she cant get them from my phone?

1. in you go to send a message, so you're in the text messaging screen, go to mode, then to recent messages. delete those. those are messages you have recently said. then go to options, and delete all. also, delete your sent and inbox messages.
