- well its gonna cost you about 175 per line. and anyways the way verizon is going they bought out alltel they are gonna be bigger that at&t. but i think those are the current charges for disconnects
- You signed a contract with Verizon. (I am guessing because you have to sign a contract to have service.) Well to discount 3 phones and switch to a new provider, it would cost you a lot of cash. Its $200 per phone to discount. If your terminating your service early. So that would be $600 and then that months phone bill. But if your contract is up. And you have the option to renew, I wouldn't renew I would go ahead and switch to at and t, then you won't have the disconnection fee, you just have that months phone bill. Its all in the small print if you read your contract. Go into a Verizon store and talk to them. Or even call them. I use to work for Verizon and I am pretty sure the rules haven't changed. Be aware before you make a big decision.
- $95 per line. Why would you not want Verizon though? I unfortunately have recently cancelled my verizon service too, but because I wanted to cancel my home phone, and I did not get verizon service inside my house. Verizon refunded the $95 per phone because in their contract, they have a stipulation that says, (if the tech service from Verizon comes to your area and determines that you have low, to moderate service, ie they don't expect you to recieve fair signal at your address that you used when you signed up for verizon, then they will refund the termination charges). They do charge you the fees for their records and tax reasons, then immediately refund it on the same bill. Otherwise, they charge only $95 per line for cancellation. I'm not sure where everyone else is getting their numbers, but I just did this last week, and it is $95 a line, and if you have 3 phones, that makes it...$$285 total.
- $175 is the max cancelation fee. They can charge you anywhere from $0 to $175 PER LINE. I would personally keep verizon because they seem to be the best.
