Problems syncing to LG rumor for us cellular?

I have the black LG rumor from US Cellular and a micro SD 2gb memory card for it. I used the adapter and put 3 songs on it. but when i put it back in my phone the songs are not there. i tried into the audio and i also tried into the my music file folders but nothing is working! help please.

1. are they mp3 format? if not then that's why! make sure if they are mp3 files and not wma or anything like that.
2. I had one of these phones in white, I would suggest if you have a friend who has one try it in their phone and see what happens, this is what I always did when I had cell problems because a bunch of us all had the same phone till everyone got sick of them and all the problems they have and got new ones. I would clear the the card and try just putting the songs on the blank memory card. See if they show up. If all else fails then talk to your US Cellular dealer. Also if you don't have the 3.0 upgrade take it in and get it (if you don't and you try and txt message and delete something it clears the entire message. 2.0 has tons of issues with txt messaging.)
