LG Wireless Phone

3G wireless cards for the new macbook pro, probably verizon card?

All of my family uses verizon wireless for phones. Maybe that helps in my question. On http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/wireless.html, it says "3G wireless cards. No Wi-Fi? No problem. With the ExpressCard slot in MacBook Pro and a 3G wireless card, connect to the Internet anywhere there's a cellular network." Well that sounds great! Only problem is is that how do I get a wireless card, and do I need to buy a plan? Thanks. LINKS ARE GOOD!!! Link to where I found the "3G wireless cards. No Wi-Fi? No problem. With the ExpressCard slot in MacBook Pro and a 3G wireless card, connect to the Internet anywhere there's a cellular network." http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/wireless.html "Yes. You need a plan. If you go to Verizon's website, they will offer free ExpressCard modems for your laptop which allows you to connect to their 3G network. The plan price is $60/month for unlimited usage." $60 extra off of your phone plan??

  1. Yes. You need a plan. If you go to Verizon's website, they will offer free ExpressCard modems for your laptop which allows you to connect to their 3G network. The plan price is $60/month for unlimited usage. AT&T and Sprint offer identical prices. Too expensive for my blood. I'll take my time looking for free wifi hotspots.
  2. You need an ExpressCard, Verizon has them, and the $60/month is on in addition to your current phone plan, because that's an unlimited data plan, not a voice plan.
