Cell Phone GPS...?
Are all phones GPS compatible? I have an LG VX5200 but I don't know if the GPS service is something that is available on all phones (like if I can just download it off of "Get It Now") or if only certain phones are GPS compatible. Can someone please help me with this? Thanks in advance.

- GPS is a service and is provided by your cell network provider. So if you wanna go on the Internet with a cell that has such function, you outta talk to your network service provider, they will be glad to help and hook you up. By the way, it can be exciting and fun and all but crazily expensive depending on the offer by your network. If its an unlimited monthly charge its alright, but if you are charged by how long you use it, i suggest you send bill gate an email and let him put you on his Will. Cheers.
- Depends, are you talking about satellite based or terrestrial tower based? Satellite based GPS is free, but your phone need the right hardware since it need to receive the signals from the satellite. The LG VX5200 is not capable of satellite based GPS. Terrestrial tower based GPS could be free or have a fee, it depends on your service provider. All phones can use this service since it relied on the network, however some phones are more easier to use by the user to determine his/her location. The LG VX5200 is capable of terrestrial tower based GPS, and it's relatively easy to use by the user to determine his/her location.
