How can i find my lost cell phone using the gps chip in it?

my phone was lost last night, and seeing as it was prom night last night, i was in a buttload of different places and i wouldn't even know where to begin looking for it. How can i find it by using the gps chip in it? i think there is a website which you can use to do this, but i cannot find it. My phone is an LG chocolate 2 on the verizon network.

1. i dont think you can find your cellphone with your gps chip inside. the gps chip is only used in criminal investigation by law enforcement agencies. moreover you wont' be able to get hold of that data ( it will open up a lot of privacy/stalking issues) and law enforcement people will only help if they think it is a serious enough crime worthy to be investigated. and losing your cellphone is really not a crime, it's negligence)
