Verizon cell phone upgrade question! Please help I am desperate!?

Please I have been researching this ALL day trying to find an answer.... I am eligible for an upgrade on August 17, 2009. Although my 2 years won't be up until December 2009. I currently have the VX5400 Verizon phone. I want to get the LG ENV3. The 2 yr. contract price is $129.99 and the online discount makes it $79.99. If I buy it online with my upgrade how much will it cost? Someone told me that the online discount IS the price you pay with an upgrade. That didn't sound right because if that was the case anyone (whether they had an upgrade available or not) could buy it at that price. What I think is that my upgrade is either worth $50.00 or $100.00 I'm not sure which... But if I buy it online would that be subtracted from the online discount price, thus making my phone either $29.99 or free according to how much the upgrade is worth? Phew...

1. my friend just got the env3 she had to pay $144 but she got a $50 rebate!!!!!!!! its worth it!!!! beleive me!!!!! hope this helps!!!! get it!!!!!
2. go to a verizon dealer and check out the phone. then when you get home, upgrade at verizon. (register and make an account first). if you buy online it will be cheaper. TIP!!! the rebate takes a couple of months to get to you and it is a atm card worth what your rebate is. **edit** ok so if you want to buy a verizon phone when your contract is NOT over, you pay the retail price which is about 300 dollars. NOT the $129.99 price. if you buy online, in your case it will be $79.99 have fun with your enV3!!!
