LG Wireless Phone

Will my insurance on my cell phone cover this?

Ok ... so my roommate got mad and long story short she threw my LG Voyager at the wall a couple times. The whole touch screen is off and doesn't work anymore. Luckily, when you open up the full keyboard that sreen inside there works fine. Will my insurance cover this? I pay $5.99/month for it. Will I get a new phone? I have Verizon. And what should I tell them happened to my phone? Thanks!
