First Cell Phone?? Help?
First time Cell Phone owner? Im 14? Help? My friends have cell phones, mostly the LG Rumors, with unlimited texting. I turned 14 in January and I want to get a cell phone with texting. I need some help and tips! Thanks in advanced! - What is the best, unexpensive cell phone good for texting? - How does pay-as-you-go work? Is it the best plan? - If a phone is $49.99 (example) and i get pay as you go and get like $20 worth of stuff a month do I have to pay for the phone every month too? - How much is unlimited texting? - What carrier or whatever is good and reliable? - Whats the best cell phone brand? - How much would it be roughly per year if i bought a phone and got pay as you go, some minutes and unlimited texting? Im unsure of everything and how it works. I live in CANADA. I have $120ish and will be getting more this summer...

- Verizon is the best. Ummm try a cell phone with a keyboard if you want texting. Probably the env2. if unlimited texing is too much just to 500 or 250 a month. but be carreful, they go by quicker then u realize.
- Most companies will actually give you a phone for free if you sign a contract, maybe you could go along those lines?
- Verizon network with either the LG enV3, LG enV TOUCH, or Samsung Alias 2
- Don't ever get a smartphone, espically not anything HTC. Smartphones/pdas are a lot less durable and just end up freezing and then youu have to clear the memory and you lose everything, even if you have a mermory card. go with something simple and cheap. For example my mom for christmas got me and my twin sister (well be 14 iin July) Bill for Phones Phone- Htc touch- $537 (before mail in rebate 2 year contract) Memory Cards-$15 Cover-$25 Screen Protectors-$10 Stylists-$25 Now times by 2 lol twins have too. Monthy Bill Her Phone anf dads Mirandas-twin sistes: $60 INTERNET $25 Texting and calling plan once again times by 2 lol.
- lol I have the rumor...but that wasn't my first cell phone. I would go with a family plan, because the pay-as-you go plans can screw you over (been there, trust me) and sometimes the individual plans can be a little high. I would also do something like 500 texts per month, a 14 year old shouldnt text every second.
- well, i cant answer everyhting, but i will say this: 1) ask this is in the "cell phone & services" category 2) cheap phones : samsung rant ($0 @ sprint) samsung gravity ($79.99 @ TMobile) wild card ($79.99 @ Virgin Mobile) LG Rumor ($79.99 @ sprint) LG ENV2 ($69.99 @ verizon wireless) 3) pay as u go is 2222222 confusing
- the best cellphone brand for me is Sony Ericsson...k510i try nokia 5800 unlimited texting in Philippines costs only 20 pesos^_^
