Buy Cheap ATT Phone Without Starting New Plan?

I lost my phone and I got a new SIM and put it in my old phone but I would like a new one. At the ATT stores the phones are pretty expensive and I would like to know if there was a way I could get a phone for cheaper without having to start a new plan or add a new line.
